Following the release of the 2021 schedule at the end of last year, it was confirmed that 5 tournaments on the European Tour will be held at European Tour Destinations.

The season kicks off in Abu Dhabi on Thursday 21st January, with the second event of the year, the Omega Dubai Desert Classic, being played at European Tour Destination Emirates Golf Club a week later, beginning on 28th January.

There is then a lengthy break between network venues hosting events, kicking back off on 19th August at Albatross Golf Resort in Czech Republic with the D+D Real Czech Masters. This is followed 2 weeks later with the Italian Open which will be played at the 2023 Ryder Cup host venue Marco Simone Golf & Country Club. With the course currently undergoing work to prepare for the biggest tournament in world golf, the Italian Open will be a great spectacle and show the potential of Marco Simone to a global audience.

The Volvo China Open, usually played at the start of the season, will then be played at Genzon Golf Club beginning on 4th November. Our only venue in the Far East, Genzon hosted the 2019 edition of the tournament and were due to host the cancelled 2020 version.

The final event of the 2021 season that is hosted at a European Tour Destination is the season-ending DP World Tour Championship at Jumeirah Golf Estates, taking place on 18 – 21 November. The 2020 edition rounded off a difficult year, that saw the season halted for 4 months and resume with 27 tournaments post COVID-19 break which was a tremendous achievement for the Tour.
